Pros
The company thinks about the well-being of its employees. They offer some great perks and wellness benefits , and often emphasize work/life balance. Really nice offices. C suite hosts regular townhalls and luncheon sessions, which helps you get plugged into what's going on. It's easy to find answers as they have a central HR inbox that answers promptly. Company has begun to delve into diversity, equity and inclusion and putting their money where their mouth is. Feels like there is a strong culture of fostering growth and paths to advancement.
Cons
I was at a different company and we had better BCBSMA insurance than I do now with.... BCBSMA womp womp. Also you can't roll over your vacation time, which results in a crazy end of year PTO usage rush. Company culture can still sometimes feel a little "old school" and some teams are really NOT diverse. Nothing wrong perse and they are trying, but just a dynamic I notice as a POC. Some teams/processes feel a little siloed. Could be my team in particular, but hard to know what's going on between different programs/team members. Could use more opportunities for team building and cohesion.

Pros
They provide a great benefits package and do a pretty good job with life-work balance but usually only on their terms. Don't fault them for that too much it just seemed if you were female and had child care issues it was understood. For the men out there trying to be a good dad, another story.
Cons
There is an entire friend of... club there. The old guard is never leaving because they have 10-20 years at the place and befriended their way into the job no matter how inept they are. Do yourself a favor and look somewhere that will reward performance.

Pros
Great overall benefits . Wellness programs, commuter allowance, etc. Ergonomic workstations, Headquarters is brand new and very centrally located in downtown Boston.
Cons
Despite how hard you work you have to fight for advancement. There are typically little opportunity to move up. If you ask to move up, you are told to look for another position internally or look outside the company for better pay. Also, many folks who are part of the "old guard" are resistant to change.

Thank you for your feedback! We love our new space in Boston and are glad you do too! We incorporated health & wellness into the building design which can be seen in details like our treadmill workstations, meditation room and yoga studio. To better enable our employees to excel in their careers we recently announced two exciting new interactive technologies - Reward Blue and Blue Campus. Reward Blue is a business social network that allows employees from across the company to reward or recognize individual and team successes for a job well done. Blue Campus is a newly refreshed learning platform that allows employees to engage in a variety of online & in-person trainings. Employees can track and share their progress with others, allowing hiring managers a line of sight to internal candidates with the right skills for their next open role. We hope you will take advantage of these tools and we wish you success in your career with us!

Pros
Great benefits and awesome if you're looking for a job where you get in at 9 and leave at 5 .
Cons
Reluctant to change and too many people trying to do too many things at once without the appropriate resources. Too hierarchical - everything needs to go through proper line of approval which can be extremely time consuming.

Former Employee, more than 5 years
Pros
Good for entry level personnel. Can gain some valuable experience. If you are a 'chosen' one you can rise up quite fast and earn a decent salary. Great benefits including flextime .
Cons
Managers never leave so no room for advancement. Not sure what the future hold with ObamaCare. Office personnel seem to be immune from any changes while the cube dwellers do all the work. Insecure office workers control your destiny when they learn you can do their job. Be prepared for a layoff. Can get monotonous. A lot of this depends on what department you are in. Outsourcing continues.
